Report made, to make road as in the petition, signed Henry Thompson, Isaac (X) Bunch, Layford (X) Bunch, Richard Andrews, Mathew Patterson. (MAD: Thomas Duncan's name not on list of signatures)

      Pg.355-6: May 7, 1849, jury to view a 3rd class road on waters of Elijah's fork of New River on the lands of John A. McKamey to leave the old road at the fork creek above the Meeting House and to intersect the same opposit where Asa Daugherity now lives, distance about 300 yards; jurors to be Asa Daugherty, John Daugherty, James Bunch, Moses Duncan and Mashack Emery, and report to present term. Jury reports that said road instead of crossing the creek shall run on the left hand side of said creek a distance of about 300 yards and then intersect the old road near where Asa Daugherty now lives, /s/ Mashack Emery, Moses Duncan, James Bunch, Asa Daugherty, John Daugherty.
      Pg.387: Nov. 5, 1849, William Bennett be overseer of 2nd class road in place of Isaac Duncan and have same bounds and hands.
