MAD: The families of Fielding and Alfred Woolf, sons of Henry Woolf (Jr.) and Elizabeth Mitchell, are given on pgs.398-9, 1987 "Caldwell Co. KY History" by Samuel W. Steger (from Bennie Reeds 1993; FHL book 976.9815 H2s). This book has information the Woolf family came from the 96th District (MAD: Greenville Co. SC) in 1796 to what became Caldwell Co. KY; that Henry Woolf (Jr.) died intestate in Marengo Co. AL in 1821, where they had gone in late 1811. Henry Woolf still owned land in Caldwell Co. KY, and the estate records there named the heirs as of March 1, 1827, as Fielding Woolf; Polly Mayfield; Winney Duncan and husband William B. Duncan; Clary Harmon and husband Samuel Harmon; Alfred Woolf; James Woolf; Betsy Freeman and husband John P. Freeman; Henry Woolf; Redding Woolf heirs: Harrison, Perry, Lucy, Emily, and Irvin Woolf; Brunetta Selman heirs: John, Orville, Betsy, Alfred, Walker, and Polly Selman. Some of the heirs had moved to AL, and some were in Caldwell Co. KY.
