      F2-118: 2 Nov. 1799, Power of Attorney, I Edmund Physick of City of Philadelphia Esqr. by Powers granted me by John Penn and Richard Penn Esqrs 14 March 1796, appoint Robert Duncan and John R. Coats attornies of the said John Penn Esqr. and Richard Penn Esqr. to make entry into and take possession of all lands in Northampton Co. PA and all lots in Town of Easton, Northampton Co., and to grant or lease for any term not exceeding 3 years. Wit. Thomas Lightfoot, Fred Beates. Edmund Physick appeared before Alexander Wilcocks, Recorder of City of Philadelphia, on 4 Nov. 1799. Recorded 9 Nov. 1799. (FHL film 953,690; SLC 10/5/2011)
      D4-38/39: 6 March 1817, We, Simeon Hart of Twp. of Lower Mount Bethel in Northampton Co. PA, merchant, and Eleazar Biethwell of Twp. of Upper Mount Bethel in county & state afsd, physician; that by Articles of Agreement dated 23 June 1815, it was agreed between said Simeon Hart and Ebenezer Bothwell and a number of the citizens of the city and county of Philadelphia and elsewhere whose names are thereunto subscribed to unite in forming a company to purchase and work a quarry of slate ... near the banks of the river Delaware in Upper Mount Bethel Twp, to be 300 at $50 each, ... they would execute title for the quarry and about 50 acres of land ... Simeon Hart and Eleazer Bothwell subscribed 25 shares, and by deed 25 May 1816 granted the premises to Daniel Groves, Thomas Lampkins and Frederick Foering in trust, ... now for $5,000 paid by James M. Porter, Daniel Groves, William Duncan, John Kempton, Levin Berobhead?, Jacob Sonder, Adam Cafield, Henry Rigby, George Tryon, Jacob Harman, T.M. Lafourcade, Henry Stiles, William Groves, John Taylor, Job Scott, Alexander Hampton, and Isaac Sneedley? of the city and county of Philadelphia, we have sold to them our right to the quarry ...
