B-338/339: 24 June 1816, James Duncan and wife Nancy of Northeast Twp. in Erie Co. PA, to Thaddeus Histed of same, that John Field, William Crammond and James Gibson by their atty Judah Cott by deed 7 Jan. 1809 conveyed to said James Duncan a tract bounded beg. at NW corner at a post, then ... by land of the Population Company, ... by said tract of 400 acres, then North by lands of the said Population Company, to the beg., containing 200 acres and 90 perches, being the north end of a larger tract surveyed principally on warrant running in the name of Sally Wallacy and pattented by Comr. of PA to John Field, William Bramond and James Gibson in trust for the shareholders of the said PA Population Company, being the 5th tract from the York state line and the 3rd from the Shore of Lake Erie; now this indenture, James Duncan and wife Nancy for $800, deed to Thaddeus Histed, 100 acres of the above tract surveyed of the south end of the above 200 acres, bounded, beg. B-526: 2 March 1801, William Duncan late of the City of Philadelphia now of the Borough of Lancaster in Lancaster Co. PA, Esq., and wife Maria, for $60?, sell to James Trimble of said Borough, Senior? (Scrivenor?), lots of ground in town of Erie at Presgisle in Erie Co. PA, that is, two of the said lots number 3303 and 3306 being in the first division of the said Town on Front Street fronting Presqisle Bay at the distance of 82 feet 6 inches from the NE sides of Holland Street, containing in breath both together on front street 160 feet, that is, 82 feet 6 inches one lot and in length or depth 165 feet to the lot numbered 330(in fold) and 3305 bounded by said Front Street, and by the lots numbered 3302, 33??, 3305 and 3307, and the other two of the said lots numbered 3305 and 3308 in the same division at the corner of Second Street and Holland Street, containing in front both together on Second Street 165 feet, that is to say 82 feet 6 inches in each lot, and in length or depth along Holland Street from Second Street to lots No. 3306 and 3307 165 feet, bounded by Second Street by Holland Street and by lots No. 3304, 3306, and 3307, being the same lots by two patents 28 Feb. 1801 to said William Duncan. /s/ Wm. C-50/55: 7 Jan. 1809, John Field, William Cramond and James Gibson, Trustees of the PA Population Company, Judah Cott of Borough of Erie in Erie Co. PA their attorney, per letters of attorney 18 March 1808, to James Duncan of Township of North East in Erie Co. PA, that James Duncan, assignee of Abiathed? Crane on 10 Nov. 1797 agreed with the President of the said Company for the purchase of a tract of land in Erie Co. PA on waters of Sixteen Mile Creek in Township afsd, bounded beg. at NW corner of the tract, then .. by land of the Population Company ... then by the residue of the tract of 400 acres, then by land of said Population Company, to the place of beginning, containing 200 acres and 30 perches, being the north end of a larger tract surveyed principally on a warrant running in the name of Sally Wallary and patented by PA to John Field, William Cramond and James Gibbon in trust for the share holders of the said Population Company, being the 5th tract from the New York State line and the third from the shore of Lake Erie, and within one month from said 10th Nov. to erect a home fit for the habitation of man and to reside or cause a family to reside there and to clear and fence at least 8 acres of the land, all of which James Duncan alledges he has done, in consideration of which and of the purchase money, to wit, $100, they grant to said James Duncan the premises. /s/ John Field, William Cramond, James Gibson, by their attorney Judah Cott. Clark, then N 34 deg. W along the easter bounds of said Clarks land ... to a post on the old pat. line, then ... to the place of beginning, containing 94 and 3/10 perches of land and is the same lot deeded to the said James J.
