Vanhorn, William V. Barr, David M. Barr, Alexander Findley and Ann Ellen Findley his wife, the heirs at law of William Barr decd, John Sterrett, Robert Sterrett, John T. Barr, Henry Kneeland, the President and Company of the Bank of the United States, the Ohio Life Insurance and Trust Company, the President Directors and Company of the Commercial Bank of Cincinnati, President Directors and Company of the Franklin Bank of Cincinnati, John Young, William White, Thomas Fitch, Thomas F. Bonnell the Cincinnati Insurance Company, Solomon Allen, Moses Allen, Jonathan Ogden, John Ferguson, Thomas Botton, Robert Botton, Charles Maculister, the Ohio Iron Company, William L. Vanhorn the complainant for the purpose of satisfying said liens and paying said debts in said bill named, make sale of the lands in the said bill without unnecessary delay; afterward at the February 1839 term, the complainint declined to give the security required by the decree at the November term 1838, the premises should be sold at auction by Adam N. Riddle a Master Commissioner in Chancery of said Court; at the June term 1841 it appeared that the term of Adam N. Riddle as Master of said Court had expired, it was ordered that said Adam N. Riddle be appointed a special master in said case and that he proceed to make appraisements; afterwards at the November term 1841 on the supplemental bill of complaint making George H. Paddock, Amon? (Anaon?) G. Phillips, William E. Dodge, Daniel James, the President and directors of the Manhattan Company, defendants, it was further ordered that the special master proceed to make further sale of the premises then unsold; at the February term 1844 of said court, a further order was made modifying the terms of sales; an order of sale was to me directed dated 1 May 1844 commanding me to proceed to sell the premises unsold, I the said Master having caused to be sold ... having advertised the time and place of sale in the Cincinnati Gazett ... on 10 June 1844 on the premises in Cincinnati ... sold at public auction ... and thereupon Morris L. Duncan bid for the same $306.25 which was struck off to him for that sum. The court at its May term 1844 confirmed the sale. That I, the said Adam N. Riddle Special Master Comissioner as afsd, deed to Morris L. Duncan land in the western part of the City of Cincinnati known as Vanhorn continuation of his second subdivision of part of William Barr's land as recorded in Book 91 page 396 Hamilton Co. Records as lot No. 343, said lot front on South Side of Barr Street, with all the appurtenances belonging and all the interest of William J. Vanhorn, the complainant, and Mary Barr widow, Mary Barr, John C. Spencer and Susan S. Spencer his wife, Margaret R. Vanhorn, William V. Barr, David M. Barr, Alexander Findlay and Ann Ellen Findlay and all the other defendants in said case. /s/ Adam N. Riddle, Special Master in Chancery. Wit. Nat Harris, Jacob H. Clemmer (Clunemer?). Duncan and Mary Ann Duncan his wife, in consideration of $740 paid by John A. Trimpe of Hamilton Co. OH, sell to John A. Trimpe lot or parcel of land in Hamilton Co. OH, known as lot 27 in the subdivision made by Francis Carr and Charlotte C. Hafer administrators of estate of Henry Hafer decd known as a plat of subdivision of the Eastern Liberties of Cincinnati and recorded in Book 24 page 327 of records of Hamilton Co., said lot extending to the center of High Street on the North, and the center of East Fron Street on the south, being the same premises conveyed to Elias Rees by Francis Carr and Charlotte C. Hafer afsd administrators of estate of Henry Hafer decd. on 29 May 1826 recorded in Book 24 page 385 of records of Hamilton Co. And the same bequeathed by Elias Rees by will to Elias Rees, Mary Ann Rees now Mary Ann Duncan, Edward Rees, and his wife Susannah Rees now Susannah Maybery, on 22 March 1832, recorded in Records of Wills in Book 3 page 417 in clerk's office of the Court of Common Pleas.       105-550/551: 22 March 1842, Whereas at the November Court of Common Pleas in Hamilton Co. OH 1841 in a petition for sale of Real Estate by Margaret Duncan as administratrix of John Duncan late of city of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co. OH, decd, as petitioner, and Thomas B. Smith, Eliza Jane Duncan and Mary Duncan were respondents, the said Margaret Duncan as admx. of the said John Duncan decd. was ordered to sell at public auction certain real estate, and the admx. having advertised the real estate, on 3 Jan. 1842 at the Court House in Hamilton Co. OH sold it at public auction to Agnes Trotter of city of Cincinnati, OH, for $300, being more than 2/3 the appraised value and the highest bid given, which sale was confirmed at the Feb. term of the court, and the admx ordered to execute a deed; NOW therefore I the said Margaret Duncan as administratrix of the said John Duncan, sell to the said Agnes Trotter the tenaments so sold as aforesaid, being a lot of ground on Fulton (Fulten?) Street, described as lot 5 in a subdivision made by Adam N. Riddle Master in Chancery on easterly side of Fulten Street south of the southerly line of the heirs of William Betts, the part of the lot owned by intestate and now conveyed is the south half of said lot. /s/ Margaret (X) Duncan, administratrix of John Duncan.
