Duncan made title bond to William M. Duncan to deliver title on payment of money; that William M. Duncan made a note to Jeremiah W. Duncan for the money; that 8 Oct. 1857 Jeremiah W. Duncan died without a will and without having made title to William M. Duncan; that William M. Duncan on 19 Feb. 1858 died without having obtained title, leaving the parties of the 2nd part his descendants and heirs; now the undersigned (Martha J. Duncan (he) appeared 7 Dec. 1900 in Pontotoc Co., A.G. Duncan and wife Arina Duncan, I.Q. Duncan, G.W. Duncan & wife B.E. Duncan, G.B. Sneed and her husband J.W. Sneed appeared 4 May 1895 in Lafayette Co. MS; M.S. Baker and his wife E.J. Baker appeared 23 Oct. 1895 in Lafayette Co. MS; G.J. Duncan appeared 28 Nov. 1895 in Pontotoc Co. MS.
      GB: This purchase agreement between John Baker and John F. Duncan's heirs lists all the children of John F. Duncan and Caroline L. Souter except Viola Texas, wife of John Baker; John Baker bought all shares of property except his wife's; she died in 1897. When the property was sold in early 1900's, the situation had to be settled in the courts since John Baker owned 29/32 of property and his children owned 3/32. M.S. (Mose) Baker is brother of John Baker and husband of E.J. Duncan.
