Duncan on 19 Feb. 1858 died without having obtained title, leaving the parties of the 2nd part his descendants and heirs; now the undersigned (Martha J. GB: This purchase agreement between John Baker and John F. Duncan's heirs lists all the children of John F. Duncan and Caroline L. Souter except Viola Texas, wife of John Baker; John Baker bought all shares of property except his wife's; she died in 1897. When the property was sold in early 1900's, the situation had to be settled in the courts since John Baker owned 29/32 of property and his children owned 3/32. M.S. (Mose) Baker is brother of John Baker and husband of E.J. Duncan.
