Ill., March 1, 1865, and is a son of John W. and Henrietta (Stumpf) Diesel ... (more on Diesel lineage) He located in Bloomington in 1895 ... Mr. Diesel was married, March 4, 1891, to Florence L. Duncan, who was born in the vicinity of Wesson [MAD: Copiah Co.], Miss., December 27, 1868. Mrs. Diesel is a daughter of Edward W. and Sarah J. (Cook) Duncan. Her father was born in Ontario, Canada, and her mother, in Mississippi, where they were married, and where both passed away, Mr. Duncan dying in 1890, and Mrs. Duncan in 1891. Ten children were born to them, of whom three sons and two daughters are still living. Mr. Diesel and his wife have two children, namely: Elizabeth Sarah, born in 1892; and William Edward, born in February, 1893. ...
