      RPM: The Duncans who settled near Bloomfield, KY, in the 1780s, were somehow related to the family of William Duncan and Ruth Raleigh of Culpeper Co. VA.
      The original Bible volume of the Samuel Duncan family is in the possession of Elizabeth B. Humphrey of Bardstown, KY, who has confirmed the presentation which follows.

      RPM: The Duncans who settled near Bloomfield, KY, in the 1780s, were somehow related to the family of William Duncan and Ruth Raleigh of Culpeper Co. VA.
      This transcription was from photocopies of the original pages made by Caroline Kalb Horrell of Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Mrs. Horrell verifies that after the death of her uncle, Arthur V. Kalb, who had "cherished the Bible record of his mother Emma (Emily) Jane Duncan Kalb," the volume disappeared.
      RPM: The title page information is not available for the Bible of this part of John Duncan's family, the pagination of the Family Records section (four pages torn from the book) is exactly the same as that of the Samuel Duncan Bible, as is the format of each page and the border decoration around each page. For that reason, it is assumed that the John Duncan Bible is the same edition from the same publisher.
