      4-281: 10 Sept. 1801, Abraham Chapline and wife Elizabeth of Mercer Co. KY to Benjamin Duncan of Ross Co., Northwestern Territory (OH), that Abraham Chaplin did locate and carry through the different offices and survey of 800 acres for which services the 1/2 of said tract was conveyed on the back of the plat unto Abraham Chaplin's 4? acre patent accordingly showed in the name of Benjamin Duncan and Abraham Chaplin as tenants in common, the said tract in the county of Warren and on a branch of Big Barren River; now said Chaplin this day sold his interest in said tract to Benjamine Duncan, $500.       19-142: 19 July 1834, commissioners to William H. Duncan of Danville, ref. to chancery court, sale of lands; sold on 16 Dec. 1830, 1 acre corner lot on James G. Birney's addition to town of Danville; William Duncan bought it for $207 and erected a brick dwelling house. (FHL film 191,820)
      19-434: 20 Feb. 1836, Joshua Nichols and wife Hannah of Mercer Co. KY to William Duncan of Lincoln Co. KY, $400, land conveyed to said Nichols by heirs of Houson Duncan decd; this tract consists of 4 undivided 10ths of that tract in Lincoln Co. KY on Clark's Run, 108 acres, corner John Green, Jonathan Reed decd now belonging to Jeremiah Kisher, James McPerrin now belonging to estate of Jonathan Nichols decd, and road from Danville to Col. Shelby's; land on which Hunson Duncan (sic) resided at his death on which Agnes Duncan now lives and in which she has a life estate; Jemina the wife of John Park, Ellen wife of William Moore, Rebecca wife of Stephen Southern, and Howson H.       29-139: 24 May 1854, To Abraham M. Vanarsdall, slaves John aged about 13 years, Lewis about 12 years, and Milo about 11 years old, for $2100 paid and secured to be paid by note of same date, and the undersigned Martin C. Duncan and his wife warrant and defend title to the slaves for the lifetime of the wife of said Martin C. Duncan, and the undersigned children of said Martin C. Duncan and wife having each an interest of 1/8 in said slaves subject to the life estate of said Mary B. Duncan do separately warrant their undivided interest of 1/8, to said Abraham M. Vanarsdall and his heirs; and the undersigned Lucy Jane Pritchett and her husband Isaac V. Pritchett, the said Lucy Jane being a granddau. of the said Martin and Mary Duncan and entitled also to an interest of 1/8 in said slaves subject to the life estate afsd, warrant their 1/8 as afsd; /s/ 24 May 1854, Daniel C. KY my attorney to dispose of at public or private sale a certain undivided interest I have in negroes: Lewis a boy about 12 years of age, John 13, Miles about 11, said negroes now being in the possession of my said attorney in Mercer Co.
