Rollins of Logan Co. to sewing, spining and all neccessary business common for woman and said Mima is to serve the said James M. Rollins until she arrives to age of 16 years, and the said Mima her master shall faithfully serve & his surety? keep and all his commands cheerfully obey, ... she shall not commit matrimony, she shall not contract from the service of said master, she shall not ... absent herself without her said master's consent, ...and her sd. master shall teach or cause to be taught sewing & spinning &c and (feed and cloth her), and at the end of said time give her the said Mima a spinning wheel and cloths and cause her to be taught to right and read. /s/ Saml.       IJ-428/432: No.173. 5 Oct. 1821, Reuben Browning Jr. Deputy Sheriff for Paulen? Browning late sheriff of Logan Co. to John M. Duncan of Logan Co., that on 13 May 1819, the Logan Circuit Court Clerk's Office issued an execution of fieri facias to the Sheriff that of the estate of Wm. F. Hewett & Samuel Caldwell to cause to be made $21 with interest at 6% from 8 Aug. 1818 which Samuel Borthick lately recorded against them for debt, and $5.74-1/2 for costs, which Hewett and Caldwell are convicted?, and you (sheriff) have the sums by 24 July next, recorded 29 May. Reuben Browning Jr. reported no property found. On 10 Aug. 1820 he was to bring William F. Hewett and Samuel Caldwell before the Judge of the Logan Circuit Court in Russellville on 10 Sept. next to satisfy Samuel Borthick's copias and $6.07-1/2 costs. Aug. 10, 1820, R. Browning Jr. ... Caldwell gave a tract of 70 acres in Logan Co. on waters of red river in discharge of his body, and "Hurt" was not found. On 18 Nov. 1820, ordered that Sheriff sell that estate of William F. Hewet and Samuel Caldwell to satisfy Samuel Borthwick the sum of $71 with interest at 6% from 8 Aug. 1818, and $6.42-1/2 costs, by 23 Dec. next. (more legal orders to sell the land to satisfy Samuel Borthwick's claim) On 22 Sept. 1821, after advertisement, sold on a credit of 3 months to John M. KY, by will of Edward Hockersmith recorded in Logan Co., offered for sale a tract of land in Logan Co., and Spencer Curd was highest bidder for $26 per acre, and Curd having transfered the land to William T. Duncan, now Hockersmith & Greenup executors sell to Duncan the tract of land on south bank of Muddy River, corner to Wilson & Norton, line of Sharp, corner to Duncan, line of Norton, up the river on the south bank with its meanders (acres not given), and also one & half acres and 16 poles adj. Morton, being the same land conveyed to E. Hockersmith by Ninian Edwards 11 May 1810 recorded Book C pg.57, warrant title under the will. /s/ John Hockersmith. Ack. by John Hockersmith 24 Aug. 1822. Clerk's office on 5 March 1821 issued an execution of fieri facias in favor of Joseph Gray against John Washington, Armstead Mort? and Charles Smith for $1,022 debt on a replevin bond and $.45-1/2 costs, which may be discharged by payment of $576.90 with interest at 6% from 20 Sept. 1819. Come to hand June 11, 1821, D.W. Poor D.S. for Urbin Ewing S. L.C. Levied on 10 July 1821 on sundry articles and tracts of land, among which is a tract of 69 acres patented to John Washington asee. of Robt. T. Baylor by patent 1 Dec. 1819, which was sold by Deputy Sheriff on 6 Aug. 1821 to William Duncan, the highest bidder, for $36 paid, sell above 69 acres on west corner to a 200 acre survey in the name of Samuel Meradeth? and westwardly corner to a 400 acre survey in the name of Matthias Carroll, with Richard Boyce's line and F.W.
