      8-194: 12 Jan. 1785, Charles (X) Duncan & Samuel Duncan to Christopher Cokendolfer, one house and lot in Jefferson Co., Salem Town, where said Samuel Duncan now lives, for £20 VA money. Wit. Benja. Roberts, Young Ewing. Cokendolfer assigned "the within bill of sale" to Austin Hubbard for value recd, 14 June 1794, wit. Michl. Campbell. Affidavit of Dennis Pursell that Charles Duncan settled lot #92 as to 1/2 and John Duncan settled the other half of said 92, and Samuel Duncan settled 1/4 of an acre lot #91 adj. lot 92 1/4 acre, and afterwards Kirkendolf purchased Saml. Duncan's lot and agreed to give up 1/2 of said 1/4 acre lot to the publick square. Pursell also says Samuel, Charles and John Duncan settled the lots under an advertisement published by William Baird as agent for proprietors of preemption whereon Bairdstown or Salem now stands. 9 Feb. 1800. Duncan on a line of Barnes heirs, then with their line N12E55-5/10 poles to a stone in Elizabeth Jostlars? (Sutlars?) line & corner to James Duncan, then with his line S75E90-2/10 poles to a stone in Barnes line, then with the same S13W55 poles to the beginning, containing 31 acres and 98 poles, it being that portion of the land of Moses Duncan decd. which was assigned to the said John Duncan by commissioners; and also one other lot of land in Oldham Co.       20-238: 18 Nov. 1833, Charles Duncan, Jane Duncan and James T. Duncan to John Case, by authority of power of attorney by Charles Duncan and Jannett Duncan his wife of Jefferson Co. KY, 24 Sept. (no year), appoint John Case attorney of said Charles and Jannett Duncan to take into possession and receive any land owned by Lewis Musick in his lifetime and to which the said Jennett (sic) is heir at law and especially land in Buncombe Co. on Reedy Fork, #462 of 100 acres, and another tract #458, and #464 of 220 acres on dividing ridge between Broad & Green Rivers.       23-327: 8 May 1882, for $2,500 received from estate of Garnett Duncan decd, Blanton Duncan, trustee of Mary T. Duncan, at present residing in City of San Antonio, Bexar Co. TX, conveys to Blanton Duncan, trustee for Kate B. and Georgette Duncan, under the will of said Garnett Duncan, of Louisville, KY, a note of W.F. Walker for $1,000 of date 3 Feb. 1881 to the order of Blanton Duncan trustee of Mary T. Duncan, and also the note of W.F. Walker to Mary F. Stahl for $1500, of date Aug. 15, 1879, secured by deed of trust of same date from W.F. Walker "upon the upper or NW half" of the Elizabeth Plunkett league and labor in Bexar Co. TX, and also all the rights granted by said W.F. Walker to Blanton Duncan trustee under Walker's contract of sale of Feb. 3, 1881, for purchase of said tract of land in Bexar Co. on or before 16 Aug. 1881 by said trustee and under which said contract suit is now pending, in case No.829 in Bexar County Court for the enforcement of said trustee's rights and for possession of said tract of land.
