Inventory files; list of sale filed July 2, 1810 by Suzanah Hopkins (X). Accounting shows cash received, payments to Richard Blalock for the season of a mare to horse, Richard Paulett for cotton for use of the family, Henry Paulett for schooling, Aaron Hopkins for work done for the use of the family, taxes for 1809, ditto for 1810, cash paid Jonathan Lea, suporting and clothing four children & board, paid James McCroy, paid John Duncan; filed 6 Jan. 1812 by Suzanah (X) Hopkins. Return for 1812, shows March 1813 cash received for sales, cash paid out; Jan. 1815 account, nothing received in 1814; at the time the return was made out of the estate there was a note of Jeremiah Burnett for $85 which was forgotten to be returned; filed March 6, 1815.

(MAD: nothing else given in entries) (HCH: This is a matter of months after Moses Hopkins' death and Susannah's application on 6 Jan. 1810 for letters of administration on Moses' estate. Susannah mentioned four children in her statement for the year of 1811, obviously when Barsheba was no longer in her household, and directly below Susannah's statement on these children (for board and clothing etc.) was payment of $7 to John Duncan, with no explanation of why payment was made.)
