AR on 21 July 1847 purchased of USA at land office at Washington, R, the SE 1/4 SW 1/4 Sec.32 Twp.12S Range 22W containing 40 acres for which a certificate or receipt was executed to me by Daniel T. Watter? Receiver? No.5173 and afterward on 19 Nov. 1847 I transferred and assigned this certificate to Darby H. Johnson, having sold said tract or parcel of land to him for $50 to me paid, wherefore for these premises and in order to make him a more perfect title, I the said Sarah Duncan hereby sell the said tract or parcel of land to Darby H. Johnson, and will make such other and further deed of conveyance whenever I obtain a patent therefor from the USA upon presentation of the same to me by said Johnson so as to envest in him a full and complete title if it is not conveyed by this deed. 15 Jan. 1850, /s/ Sarah Duncan.       I-213/216: That James Sloan on 11 Oct. 1850 has sued? out in Circuit Court of Clark Co. AR a writ of execution or venditione exponas, to wit:
   Clark Co. AR, to the Sheriff of Hempstead Co., that James Sloan on 11 March 1847 at Circuit Court has recovered against Benjamin S. Duncan, William H. Preston and unknown heirs of Marcus Huling decd for debt, $1,478.41 for damages, the sum of $488.73 with interest, together with $13.76 for costs, and James Sloan on 10 Jan. 1850 sued in Circuit Court a writ of execution for the recovery of the debt, damages and ? afsd, and ... was levied on that portion of Lots 2 and 3 in Block 17 embracing 54 feet on Conway & Spring Streets and 198 feet on Izard St, that portion of Lot No.1 in Block 15 beg. 4 feet NE of the S corner of said lot, then with Franklin St. N 52'30' E 25 feet, then N 37'30 ... on Franklin St. in town of Washington, AR, also an undivided 1/2 of E 1/2 NE 1/4 Sec.33 Twp.11S Range 25W containing 80 acres of land in all as the property of the unknown heirs of Marcus Huling decd, which levy was made on 23 Feb. 1850; therefore you are commanded to expose for sale and sell the property above specified and levied upon as afsd, and cause to be made the debt, damages and costs afsd, and have the same before the Circuit Court on 2nd day of March term 1851, and certify how you executed this writ. /s/ 11 Oct. 1838 by Wm. I, John B. Sandifer, Sheriff of Hempstead Co. AR, sold to highest bidder, Benjamin S. Brittin for $50 for that portion of Lot No.1 in Block No.15 ... on Franklin St. in Washington, AR, I John B. Sandifer, Sheriff of Hempstead Co. AR, ... for $50 paid, sell to Benjamin S. Brittin of Hempstead Co. AR the interest of Benjamin S. Duncan, William H.
