1820 Census for Alabama counties exists only for Baldwin, Conecuh, Dallas, Franklin, Limestone, St.Clair, Shelby, and Wilcox Counties.
 

County divorce reports, 1818-1929 (no index to early ones); AL Bureau of Vital Statistics; reports filed by Chancery Court, later Circuit Court; divorces once required an act of legislature; the years 1818-1864 were compiled by AL Dept. of Archives & Hist. Division of Records Management from the Acts of Alabama; includes names, complainant, respondent, year of act, and page number from acts. Some include the county of residence. To find person searching for be sure to check both items with the above dates - each item is slightly diferent and may give additional information. (also films for divorces 1880-1937)
