Two gravestones
shown above flank the doorway to this
old ruined kirk. The larger stone can be read easily,
the other is more difficult. A forename, JOHN,
is clear.
The rest of the very faint inscription looks like Coll. |

Being so close to the other stone it is possible that it is
a memorial to an earlier members of the same family.
The [Mc] Call or Coll family is known to have been in
Coshogle farm in the late 1600s and into the 1700s.. |
