The
large areas of rough grass inside this old graveyard may hide many
fallen stones. It is also possible that many
of the earlier grave markers were of less permanent material
like wood and have simply rotted away to nothing. |

The
pile of stones in the foreground are little more than the rubble
remains of the old kirk walls which
have been erected into a cairn at sometime in the past.
Local Christians up until fairly recently
held annual Conventicles here. This kirk is associated
with the Covenanters of the area in the middle 1600s |

A
gable end, part of window opening and a doorway aperture are all
that remain of this very old place of worship |
