Notes for P
ETER FUNK:
Much thanks is in order to Mac Elaine McFarland Elliott, Funk family researcher, for her information leading to this line.

I  have used Mac's list of offspring's for Peter and Nancy as my base and then tried to add info and/or verify as sources become available.

Following are mentions of three purchases of land in Federal Land Sales to 'a' Peter Funk of Lawrence Co. All were reserved for purchaser #51 at $1.25 per acre. I'm fairly positive it is 'this' Peter Funk. :

9/12/1837--40 acres--Range 11 West, Twp 4 North, NENE Section 11
9/12/1837--40 acres--Range 10 West, Twp 4 North, NESW Section 20
1/23/1838--40 acres--Range 11 West, Twp 4 North, SWNE Section 11

More About P
ETER FUNK:
Peter was the executor of his mother (Elizabeth Miller Funk)'s estate. He is bured in Tewalt Cemetary,  in Russellville, Lawrence Co., ILL. His gravestone is still very readable but it is not in the ground solid and it is beginning to show wear.  I am hoping to ge his and Nancy's stones cleaned and put in more solidly in the near future.
