The Rhone Island Historic Cemetery Project reports that Edward S. and Mary (Stedman) Sisson are buried in the Island Cemetery, Newport, Rhode Island, probably in the Stedman plot.

Alexander and Pardon Sisson were twins. Alexander "was a New Englander of Quaker descent." He came from Georgetown to Hamilton, New York, about 1870. For several years he was Street Commissioner of Hamilton. At the time of the birth of his son Eugene, Eugene's "parents were living in the old French Chateau [in Hamilton?] which has been the subject of romantic interest since colonial days." His daughter Celia J. Sisson said of it, "The Muller House was large and had a large attic." Alexander was living with Celia on Charles Street, Hamilton, New York, at the time of his death.
