Horace was a painter. Horace and Josephine and their sons were living with George W. Holburton in the Charlestown, Washington County, Rhode Island 1880 census. This census also indicates that both parents (William and Deborah) were born in Connecticut. This may be the William H. Sisson listed as a salesman born August 1873, son-in-law living in the household of David and Phoebe Scott in the Newport 1900 census, with wife Eva their daughter, a bookkeeper, born September 1877 and a daughter Gladys born May 1895. The same W. Herbert Sisson is listed in the 1910 census as foundry manager, age 36, married 17 years, born in Rhode Island; his wife was Eva S., 37 [31?], a bookkeeper with daughter Gladys, 14.

Cynthia married (MRIN:286) John B. SISSON-401, son of Gilbert H. SISSON-1817 and Phebe Simmons SIMMS-599 (MRIN:314). John was born in Aug 1823 in Rhode Island. He died on 28 Jul 1906 in North Stonington, New London Co., Connecticut.

An unknown newspaper hand-dated March 22, 1894:
Dyer P. Sisson, aged 73 years, died at his residence in this place last Saturday afternoon of concussion of the brain. Mr. Sisson was in the merchantile business at this place for over 45 years, and the postmaster about 40 years. The funeral occurred Monday afternoon from the late residence, the Rev. Henry Gordon of Coila officiating.
Michelle continues: From my notes I had a Dyer P. Sisson born about 1820, married November 24, 1847 at White Creek, Washington County, NY to Hannah A Barker. Also there was a Dyer P. Sisson as Town Clerk of White Creek, Washington County, New York who submitted the Marriage Records of the town on January 25, 1848. David and Joan Sisson's Sisson Newsletter said "Dyer P.
