592. Barnabas SISSON [scrapbook]-2087 (Mary SHEARMAN , Mary B. SANFORD , Hope SISSON , George , Richard ) was born on 9 May 1772 in Portsmouth, Newport Co., Rhode Island. He died on 19 Aug 1809 in Sakonnet River. He was buried in Union Cemetery, Po16, Portsmouth, RI. Barnabas (or Barnard) Sisson was a farmer and a mariner. He and his wife Barbara Sisson were married by Elder William Bliss. Barnabas administered his brother Jabez' estate, November 10, 1800. Barnabas was drowned in the Sakonnet River when his boat was upset.
