Milo never went to school beyond the third grade, yet he was extremely well spoken and was an accomplished cabinet maker and architect. He worked for a time in Las Vegas in its early days,making and installing a roulette table at the Flamingo Hotel for the notorious mobster Bugsy Seagal. During the depression he was the only man on his block in Long Beach, CA, who had a job. His wife would make a huge pot of soup once a week on a big stove on the porch and the neighbor children would come with pails and fill them to take home for supper. In his lifetime Milo built at least 3 gorgeous homes, in Lake Arrowhead, in Padua Hills, and in Grants Pass, Oregon.
Milo's World War I draft registration card gives his birthdate as June 23, 1894.
