Joseph also married ( 2:MRIN:935) Ruth SHEARMAN-1427, daughter of Benjamin SHERMAN-11902 and Ruth FISH-12733 (MRIN:940), on 18 Sep 1753. Ruth was born on 12 May 1734 in Portsmouth, Newport Co., Rhode Island. She died on 11 Sep 1822 in Seekonk, Bristol Co., Massachusetts.

According to Norman Wobesky (probably the latter address is correct), quoting Directory of Shermans, v 4, p 2190, Peleg Sisson married ONLY Ruth Sherman b 1726, daughter of John and Grizzelle (Fish) Sherman, on 7 Dec 1749. This Ruth Sherman is reported marriage to Joseph Sisson on 18 April 1753 in the Directory of Shermans.

Avis married (MRIN:924) Josiah SHOVE-1407, son of Nathaniel SHOVE-12740 and Hannah BAXTER-12741 (MRIN:925), on 1 Nov 1797. Josiah was born about 1755 in Dighton, Bristol Co., Massachusetts. He died in 1844.

Eunice's death is noted in Quaker records, and her burial was recorded in Newport, but the cemetery is now "lost."
