Ronald Clyde Sisson was a poet and an Army paratrooper. One of his poems, entitled "A Handful of Silk and God," was published in an Army magazine and set to music. He was shot by a sniper while leading scout for his platoon in WWII near Anonang and at the close of conflict was brought home to his parents by an Army buddy. His parents are buried next to him at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery in Fairmont, MN.
