Adam had a horse named King that he used to plow snow and haul wood.

Once, Adam sent his grandson Norman to ask Emma for money to go into town to buy a bolt (not intending to spend it in the hardware store).  The plan was foiled when Grandma asked Norman "Which bolt?"    - Source:  Marvin L. Buchanan  7-21-2000

Adam died of Chronic Myocarditis at age 73.
