Charles was the son of Elisha L. Hindman, who married Sarah A. Huffman. Sarah was the daughter of Elijah Huffman and Sophia Rubottom. Sophia Rubottom was the daughter of John and Anna Fisher Rubottom. John was the son (and 13th child) of Simon and Elizabeth Dunn Rubottom.
Charles Fletcher Hindman was the great-grandfather of Danene Vincent. He married Frances Mae Rubottom, his first cousin once removed. She was the daughter of Samuel and Sarah Spivey Rubottom. Sam was the son of John and Anna Fisher Rubottom.
