Slaves are also buried here, but no names are known.

This cemetery was heavily damaged by rain and mudslides spawned from Hurricane Camille on 20 Aug 1969. Most graves were marked with only native fieldstones and were washed away (fieldstones).

Information about unmarked graves were compiled by Mayme Fortune Munday, dau of Geo W Fortune Jr and Ida L McAlexander Fortune and Margaret Thurmond Hartman, gr granddaughter of Richard Clark Fortune, s/o Thomas Eubank Fortune and Cynthia Roseanne Loving Fortune. Mrs Munday died 1986 and Mrs Hartman 1976.
