Tip of the month

FTM users: Did you know you can search your database for a single date? Recently, I downloaded the newly release death indexes off the Internet (URL listed above.) I downloaded 1972 since that was the year my grandmother died. I figured since I had the whole index I might as well see who else was on there so in my FTM I did a search for anyone who died in 1972. Here's how you do it:

Under the Edit menu click "Find Individual." A box will appear that has a pull down menu. When you click on the pull down menu it has choices click on death date. To the right type in 1972 in the "for" blank. Click "find next." FTM will search your database for 1972. Note: You can do a search for any of the items listed in the pull down menu on the left side of the box.
