3) Information from Ethyl Perry Sevingy. Gives birth and
death places. States he "moved to Ill. in 1839. Was a member of Legislature
26 General Assembly, winter 1869-70. He served Kankakee Co., Ill 12 yrs as
county clerk. He was an active republican and abolitionist. Voted for 17
presidential candidates. Had a personal acquaintance with Pres. Lincoln and an
intimate friendship with Gov. Yates. He was most active during "our late war"
(Civil War?), doing all in his power to assist and serve his country he loved
so well."
4) from old correspondence copies, address in Jan. 1885 was No 3207 Indiana
Ave, Chicago. Lived in Chicago before taking up residence at his farm in
Kankakee Co. in 1872. Went back to Chicago in 1876 because of Flora's
"alarming and precarious state of health."
5) 1870 Chicago census, 5th Ward, film 545,699 p. 274 (R.H. number), age 59,
farmer, b: Vt.
6) check 1880 at 3207 Ind. Ave.
7) Obituary says he came to IL in 1839, taught school for a time in Momence,
then in Will Co. Was one of the organizers of Kankakee Co. Eleectd to and
served as county clerk 12 yrs, then was chosen a member of lower branch of the
general assembly. In 1868 was Grant's closest rival for votes. He reemoved
to Chicago during his term as a legislator, etc.

dates as shown, 1,235,282, sheet 1 bt 7114720.
Other Beebe's: mrin 774, mrin 770 (Orson, with a Susan rin 2169, mother?), mrin
685 (Daniel Beebe Day, and poss bro. rin 2184 Ralph Day)
5) Obituary for husband gives her name a Lonura (poss. a misprint from
cursive). Also gives their marriage information. Married by Father Beggs,
thee founder of the First Methodist Epicopal Church in Chicago. Gives her
death date as 5 Sep.

Perry from George A. Perry 17 Nov 1899. Called Mrs. Ullery of Chicago. He
says her sister returned from Paris without visiting him.
Married at age 47 (from dates, age 45). Poor health in late 1870s.
3) letter from Abby Boswell to Walter and Carrie Perry mentions her dath date
and will provision which went into effect after her husband Frank B. Ullery's
passing. Abby was wondering which Albert Perry was mentioned in the will, she
thought Uncle George's son.
