tombstone is the only one standing in what was once an extensive cemetery
in former village of Peale, Cooper Twp., Clearfield Co, PA. Perhaps Karl
Strike was buried here and his tombstone has deteriorated or it has been

Streich since they were very young- 5 to 8 years old). A fourth "step daughter",
Amelia Streich was already married when Charles came into the family.

Clearfield Co., PA, and was buried in I.O.O.F. cemetery. The graves of
TWR and his wife are unmarked; however, according to a plat in hands of
the caretaker, "X" marks the spot where TWR purchased plot Number 434 (next
to "Gatehouse" plot). Unfortunately, the DATE of purchase has been lost.

Nov 1880, as recorded in Parish Register of St Bartholomew, Thornley, England.
Thomas married Jane MCNELLEY or MCNALLY. She was born about 1824 in Scotland
and died within a year or two after 1866, in Durham Co., England; buried
at unknown. Thomas also married Jane McCallum about 1868. Her death date
and burial place are unknown. Image is of St Bartholomew church. There
is no memorial for Thomas Russell among those surrounding the church.

22. William HARTLEY was born Mar 1823 in Summerhouse, Gainsford parish,
Durham Co., England. He died after 1900 in Clearfield Co., PA and was buried
in I.O.O.F. cemetery, Brisbin, Clearfield Co., PA. William married Ann.
Her death date and burial place are unknown. There are three person buried
under this stone which is marked simply "Hazeltine"- no other names or
dates. The buried are William Hartley, his daughter, Mary Ann, and Mary
Ann's husband, William Heseltine. William HARTLEY purchased plot number
550 (this site) on 4 Feb 1895 ( from record book in hands of caretaker,
D.M.).

31. Margaret (Mrs. GUTGSELL) was born about 1820. She died Nov 1903 in
Braddock, Allegheny Co., PA, and was buried in Braddock Catholic Cemetery,
PA. Under this stone lie Margaret and her son, Louis Gutgsell, Louis' wife,
Josephine "Miller" and their son, Louis, Jr. The fate of Josephine Miller
is not known.
