MURIEL K. (BARTLETT) MCCAMBLEY

MURIEL K. MCCAMBLEY, 71, a longtime Philadelphia resident who moved to Whiting, N. J., nearly 10 years ago, died Friday at Graduate Hospital, where she once worked as a supervisor.

Mrs. McCambley worked as a registered nurse for 30 years until her retirement in 1973. Born in Hartford, she moved to Philadelphia with her family in 1936. Immediately before her retirement, Mrs. McCambley worked for four years as nursing supervisor in the surgical unit at Philadelphia State Hospital at Byberry. Before that, she worked from 1961 to 1968 as the night supervisor at Graduate Hospital. Mrs. McCambley earned a bachelor�s degree in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. She was a longstanding member of the American Nursing Association and was president of the Senior Citizens Club of Presentation BVM Catholic Church in Cheltenham.

Survivors: her husband, William N.; sons, William N. Jr. and Joseph F.; daughters, Sister Anne E. McCambley, SSJ, Carla M. Ortegon, Sister Dana E. McCambley, SSJ, Ellen I. McCambley, Rosemary A. Connors, Andrea L. M. D�Alessandro and Maris E. McCambley; 12 grandchildren, and a sister.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Whiting, Manchester Township; burial, Whiting Memorial Park.
