OBITUARIES
of
EZRA TWOMBLY BARTLETT (1848-1920)
and
DORA (CHRISMAN) BARTLETT (1876-1962)


EZRA T. BARTLETT BURIED AT GLENDALE - The funeral of Ezra T. BARTLETT was held in the Sharpe school house Wednesday afternoon in charge of Rev. C. W. ODOM of the Burlington Methodist church. A previous service was held at Beemer Ned (sic). before the body was brot here. Mr. and Mrs LAUGHRY, Mr. and Mrs. Ed GARRETT, Mrs. W. A. THOMPSON and Mrs. C. CHRISMAN sang. The body was laid to rest in Glendale cemetery.

Ezra T. BARTLETT was born in Seneca county Ohio on March 22, 1848 and died August 8, 1920, aged 72 years 4 months and 16 days. In early childhood he moved with his parents to Illinois and at the age of 17 moved to Bates county, Missouri. When 24 years of age he was united in marriage to Miss Mary L. WAGNER To this union were born five children, Theresa M., John J., Curtis M., Albert E., and Omer S., who died in childhood. His wife died in 1882.

In 1888 Mr. BARTLETT and his family moved to Kansas. December 2, 1895 he was united in marriage to Dora CHRISMAN of Burlington. To this union were born nine children, Harry L., Wilbur G., Marion S., Morris M., Lloyd C., Chester died in infancy, Mary, Loren and Fay.

Mr. BARTLETT lived near Sharpe for twenty-two years. Two years ago he and his wife moved to Beemer, Nebraska to be near some of his children. While there he was taken with a stroke of apoplexy and lived only a few hours. In his younger days Mr. BARTLETT was a member of the Baptist church.

BARTLETT -- MRS. EZRA T. (DORA), 85, of 1035 West 2nd, died
Friday, Feb. 23.
Funeral services -- Monday, Feb. 26, at Wadlows.
Burial -- Wyuka. She had been a resident of Lincoln since 1921.
Survivors: Sons -- Morris of Lincoln, Harry of Bellflower, Calif.; Wilbur of Long Beach, Calif.; Lloyd of Inglewood, Calif.; daughters -- Mrs. Mary BOWERS, Mrs. Faye TUCKER, both of Lincoln; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
