CRANFORD James D. CRANFORD and Margarett CRANFORD Defts To the clerk of Superior Court of said County: The Petition of P.C. SANDERS as administrator debonis non of Richard CRANFORD decd respectfully showeth that he was appointed administrator of said intestate at January Term 1868 of the late County Court of said County and at once enttered upon the administration of said estate: Your petitioner further showeth that from the best information and knowledge which he has been able to obtain the outstanding debts of the estate will amont to about three hundred dollars. Note the value of the personal estate of said intestate is about five dollars the proceeds of which has been expended as costs of the administration (note: there is several words left on this bottom line that I am not able to make out) |
The said Estate was seized in fee simple
of the following tract of land to wit one tract containing three hundred and thirty three acres or thereabout of the value of seventy five cents per acre. That said land decended to his children and heirs to wit Isiah BALLARD & wife Laura BALLARD Clay MORGAN & wife Eliza MORGAN Elvira CRANFORD Joel CRANFORD sr the minor children of Ann BEAMAN decd to wit Hancel BEAMAN and Laura J. BEAMAN in said County ages not known= the children of Ambrose CRANFORD Decd to wit: Harris CRANFORD now of full age & eliza M. who intermarried with E.S. SANDERS Nancy A. CRANFORD and Neill CRANFORD - the last- three being minors living in said County ages not known the minor children of James M. CRANFORD decd to wit: Lunda CRANFORD and Joel CRANFORD all of whom are now residents of the state to wit: Laura F. who intermarried with Henry ROBINSON & now of full age Ausburne E. CRANFORD Isaac N. CRANFORD Regina C. CRANFORD James D. CRANFORD and Margarett CRANFORD infants whose ages are not known and residing in the state of Indianna near Plainfield Post Office That all the said minors Defts are without general or as?amentary swordion said lands subject to the Dower of Elizabeth CRANFORD the widow of intestate which has been heretofore alloted to her Your petitioner further showeth that a sale of the whole said land except the widow dower is nesessary to enable him to pay the debts of his intestate and the charges of administration. To the End therefore that said land with the exception aforesaid may be sold by your petitioner under a decree of this court on such terms as the Court may direct and that the proceeds may const? into assests in his hands for the payments of said debts and charges. Your petitioner prays that a summons with a copy of this petition be filed to said Isiah BALLARD & wife Laura BALLARD Joel CRANFORD sr Harris CRANFORD Clay MORGAN & wife Eliza MORGAN and Elizira CRANFORD and that publication be made for six sucessive weeks for Henry ROBINSON & wife Laura A. ROBINSON in some weekly news paper notifying them to appear and answer and that a guardian ad litum be appointed for Harrcel BEAMON Larua J. BEAMON Eliza M. SANDERS Nancy A. CRANFORD Neill CRANFORD Lunda CRANFORD Joel CRANFORD Jr. Auburne E. CRANFORD Isaac N. CRANFORD Regina C. CRANFORD James D. CRANFORD and Margarett CRANFORD who shall appear and answer to M.S. ROBIN, Attorney for Petitioners P.C. SANDERS the plaintiff with above entitled case makes oath that the matters and statements contained in the foregoing petition of his own knowledge he believes to be true. Admr.
