Below is Mr. Broderick's words.

From the Court House in Troy (Montgomery Co. NC) take Hwy. 24-27 east toward Biscoe.  About 4 blocks from the Court House turn right on Country Road 1554 toward Capelsy and go about 2.5 miles to the Little River and stop --- do not cross the river.  On the right, about 150 yards from the river, go into the woods about 50 yards.  The right of way for the "old road" is obvious but do not cross it.  There will be four graves in a row.  These are Joshua BUTLER, Susan GREEn, one marked "J.R." and one marked "J.B."  Most likely these were two children who died very young.

This property belongs to Mr. Caples who owns the Caple Mills in Troy. He gave me permission to place the new granite stones at the graves in 1995.

I have not been able to document this but Joshua and Susan apparantly had a homesite nearby or perhaps between the road and the William BUTLER house, or, the William BUTLER house itself.
