Jim Hobgood 1888 - 1917 Sallie Hobgood 1881 - 1960 James K. Hobgood was the son of George T. Hobgood and Mary A. Winstead, who married 5 Nov 1878 Webster County KY. Sallie Burton was the daughter of John McDuff Burton and Mariah Frances King.

Sallie Burton married James Hobgood and they became the parents of Gracie Hobgood and James Gobel Hobgood, who are also buried in this cemetery.

After the death of Jim Hobgood in 1917, Sallie married Jess Stinnett, a widower, whose first wife was Daisy Burton, Sallie's first cousin. Jess and Daisy are buried at Shady Grove Cemetery.
