The ancestory of Hrahat of the Mamikonids, father to Gregory, David and probably Samuel, is not clear. It would appear that one or more of his sons was Presiding Prince of the Mamikonids and it is possible therefore that Hrahat is a grandson of Hamazasp II. Hrahat Mamikonean of Taraun was born circa 640. He was the son of Hamazasp III Mamikonean, marzpan of Armenia and N. N. Rštouni.

Prince of Parthia at Iran 0247-0210 B.C..1,3 Tiridates I, King of Parthia was brother (or alias) of King Arsaces I 0247-0211 B.C..3 "Parthians, in spite of being one of the two or three world powers (others, Romans, and perhaps the Central Asian Saka Khanate), were treated rather unfairly by the Muslim historians. They were left outside of the great dynasties and were considered a part of the 'Factions,' as Ghazali puts it:

"'(After Alexander the Great) the kingship passed to the Factions and of these one known as the Ashkanians won the ascendancy. The first of these was Ashk ibn Hurmuz' (BaGAZCK 50).

"I think the reason for that was because the Parthians spoke with almost a pure Turkish dialect apparently due to their kings' Scythian background. The Sassanians, speaking a sophisticated language and thinking themselves to be the native descendants of the Achaemenids, and representatives of the old Iranian and Mesopotamian civilizations, considered the Parthians as the intruders into the old Sumero-Babylonian and Elamite-Aramean tradition.

"Parthian Dynasty (ab. 247 B.C.-A.D. 226) was one of the longest in history, 473 years against 443 for the Sassanid, 370 for the Achaemenid, and 619 for the Ottoman. They had 36 kings against 31 for the Sassanian, 16 for the Achaemenid, and 37 for the Ottoman dynasty which was one of the longest in history."      In my quest for my Sarah Ann Readers identity I stumbled onto a lot of coincidences on two Sarah Ann Reader/Reeders. She died in Lake City, Michigan, a town founded by Reeders. The Reeders came from Pennsylvania, spending a generation in Canada, then coming to Michigan. In the same township in Canada as the Reeders was a William Philp, of Cornwall, and of the right age to marry Sarah Ann, a daughter of Moses Reeder Jr, born in Canada. It turns out not to be the case. Sarah Ann Reeder was born circa 1840 at Mariposa Township, Victoria County, Ontario, Canada. She was the daughter of Moses Reeder Jr. and Elizabeth Toole. Sarah Ann Reeder married John Dobson on 17 February 1863 at Mariposa Township, Victoria County, Ontario, Canada; Recorded in Victoria Marriage Series 1858-1869. As of 17 February 1863,her married name was Dobson.
