He was the son of John Wyndham Esq., of Crownthorpe and Margery Clifton.1,2 Sir John Wyndham married Margaret Howard, daughter of John IV, 1st Duke of Norfolk.3 Sir John Wyndham was against the Earl of Lincoln, Lambert Simnel, and their adherants, and was knighted immediately after the victory in 1487 at the Battle of Stoke.4 Simnell's Rebellion - Yorkist rebels, bring the usurper, Lambert Simnell, as Edward VI, to England, but defeated by the Tudor, Henry VII. On 16 June 1487 at the Battle of Stoke, East Stoke, Midlands, England.5 He engaged in the interests of the house of York, and condemned of High Treason in 1501.2 He died in 1501/2 at 17 Henry VII. Beheaded.1,2
