Comte de Luxembourg Henri IV d' Arlon was born in December 1240.3 He was the son of Henri III "le Blondel", comte de Luxembourg and Marguerite de Bar-sur-Seine, dame de Ligny.1,2 Comte de Luxembourg Henri IV d' Arlon married Beatrice d' Avesnes, daughter of Baudouin d' Avesnes and Felicite de Coucy, in 1261.3 Comte de Luxembourg Henri IV d' Arlon was a witness where Jean I "le Victorieux", duc de Brabant bought the duchy of Limburg from Adolph V of Berg, and secured this acquisition by defeating and slaying his competitor, Henry of Luxembourg, at the Battle of Woeringen on 5 June 1288.4 Comte de Luxembourg Henri IV d' Arlon died on 5 June 1288 at the Battle of Woeringen at age 47 years and 6 months. He was killed in battle by John I of Brabant.1,4

He married Elizabeth d' Anjou, daughter of Charles I "le Défenseur de l'Église", roi de Jérusalem et de Sicile and Beatrix, comtesse de Provence & de Forcalquier, in 1272.3,4,2 King of Hungary between 1272 and 1290.2,5 László IV "the Cuman", Király Magyarország was a witness where Rudolf I, Römischer König acquired the lands of Austria, the Steiermark, and Carinithia from King Ottokar II Premysl of Bohemia, which became the basis of the future Habsburg powerbase in 1276.6,7 László IV "the Cuman", Király Magyarország witnessed the death of Premysl Ottokar II, King of Bohemia on 26 August 1278 at near Dürnkrut; Killed fleeing after the defeat he suffered in battle aginst Rudolf I von Habsburg and Ladislaus IV of Hungary.8,7,9 László IV "the Cuman", Király Magyarország was the predecessor of András III, Király Magyarország; King of Hungary.10,11 László IV "the Cuman", Király Magyarország died on 10 July 1290 at Körösszeg at age 28 years. He was murdered in his camp by the Cumans, who never forgave him for attacking them in 1282. Another story has it that he was killed by nobles angry at his paganism (he married a Cuman girl afterall) and they hired a Cuman killer to assassinate him.3,4,2,7 He supported Rudolf I von Habsburg in an attack against Ottokar II of Bohemia on 1 May 1308 at near Dürnkrut.7

She succeeded her grandfather, Alexander III, on 19 March 1286.3 Queen of Scotland between 19 March 1286 and 26 September 1290.3 She died on 26 September 1290 at the Orkney Islands. She died, unmarried, while en-route to Scotland. The death of Margaret left Scotland without a Monarch and at the mercy of Edward I. Thus begun the first Interegnum, and the contest between 13 claimants.1,3,4

Alfonso III "el Liberal", rey de Aragón was born in 1267.2 He was the son of Pere III "el Grando", rey de Aragón and Constance von Staufen, Queen of Sicily.1 Alfonso III "el Liberal", rey de Aragón succeeded his father, Peter III, to the throne of Aragón in 1285. King of Aragón at Spain between 1285 and 1291.1 Styled Alfonsi Dei Gracia Regis Aragonum Maioric[arum] et Valencie ac Comitis Barch[i]n[onensis].3 He definitively conquered Minorca island in 1287.4 He died on 18 June 1291 at age 24 years.5

Éléanore, Queen of England was the daughter of Raymond Berengar IV, count of Provence, and a daughter of Thomas I, count of Savoy.3 She was born in 1223 at Aix-en-Provence, France.6,7,3 She was the daughter of Ramón-Berenguer IV, comte de Provence & de Forcalquier and Beatrix de Savoie.4,5 Éléanore, Queen of England married Henry III, King of England, son of Jean "Sans Terre", roi d' Angleterre and Isabella, comtesse d'Angoulême, on 14 January 1236 at Canterbury Cathedral, Canterbury, Kent, England; 3rd cousins, 2x removed.6,8,7,9,5,10,3 Éléanore, Queen of England became the leader of the royalist exiles in France after rebel barons captured Henry and took over the government in May 1264.3 She was able to raise an invasion force, but her fleet was wrecked at Sluis at Flanders.3 She was returned to England after the rebels were crushed in August 1265.3 She retired to a nunnery at Amesbury after August 1274 at Wiltshire, England.3 She died on 25 June 1291 at Amesbury Abbey, Wiltshire, England, at age 68 years.3 Éléanore, Queen of England was buried in Westminster Abbey, London, England.

Holy Roman Emperor between 1273 and 1291.1 Rudolf I, Römischer König acquired the lands of Austria, the Steiermark, and Carinithia from King Ottokar II Premysl of Bohemia, which became the basis of the future Habsburg powerbase in 1276.1,4 He witnessed the death of Premysl Ottokar II, King of Bohemia on 26 August 1278 at near Dürnkrut; Killed fleeing after the defeat he suffered in battle aginst Rudolf I von Habsburg and Ladislaus IV of Hungary.5,4,6 Rudolf I, Römischer König married Isabella von Burgund, daughter of Hugues IV, duc de Bourgogne and Beatrix de Champagne, in 1284; His 2nd. Her 1st.7,8 Rudolf I, Römischer König died on 15 July 1291 at Speyer, Germany, at age 73 years, 2 months and 14 days.1 He was a witness where László IV "the Cuman", Király Magyarország supported Rudolf I von Habsburg in an attack against Ottokar II of Bohemia on 1 May 1308 at near Dürnkrut.4

He was the son of Robert d'Eiville Knt., of Egmanton and Denise fitz Thomas.1 Sir John d'Eiville was Chief Justice and Keeper of the King's forests North of Trent between 1257 and 1261.2 He joined the baronial cause, and appointed Constable of Scarborough Castle on 6 September 1264.2 John was summoned to parliament on 24 December 1264 as 'Johanni de Eyvill.1' He occupied Isle of Axholme with younger Simon de Montfort in 1265.2 He continued action against royal forces, occupying Southwark with Earl of Gloucester in April 1267.2 He admitted to the King's peace and had seizin of his lands and remission of the first year of his ransom on 1 July 1267. His fine was the largest imposed on the former rebels, at 600 marks. His lands had been granted to Queen Eleanor, wife of Henry III, following Evesham; due to his restoration, the King wrote a letter to Queen Eleanor 1 July 1267 requesting she accept this decision 'for reasons which he will explain more fully at their next talk together.2' He received lands in Barnborough and Darfield as inheritance from brother Adam (d.s.p. 1282)
in 1282.1 He became a household knight of King Edward in 1284. 'John d'Eyvile headed a list of bannerets in a document in 1284-5, and served the king loyally until his death in 1291.3' He died before October 1291.1

Earl of Monteith Walter Ballach Stewart was the son of Walter fitz Alan, 3rd High Steward of Scotland and Beatrix of Angus.1 Also called Walter "the Freckled".1 Earl of Monteith Walter Ballach Stewart was said to have accompanied St. Louis on Crusade in Egypt in 1248.1 He married Countess of Monteith Mary of Monteith, daughter of 3rd Earl of Monteith Maurice of Monteith, before 1260.1 Earl of Monteith at Scotland in 1260.1 Earl of Monteith Walter Ballach Stewart was invested with the earldom of Monteith by right of his wife in 1260.1 Sheriff of Ayr at Scotland in 1263.1 Sheriff of Dunbarton at Scotland in 1271.1 He died after 1292.1 Earl of Monteith Walter Ballach Stewart was buried in the ruined Priory of Inchmahome, on the Lake of Monteith, Scotland. His tombstone with his wife's effigy beside his own in armor is perhaps the most beautiful medieval tomb surviving in Scotland.1

He died on 20 February 1292.

Alice de Sanford was born circa 1232. She was the daughter of Gilbert de Sanford and Lora la Zouche.1 Alice de Sanford inherited the manors of Great Hormead and Nuthampstead, in Hertfordshire, and Fingrith, Margaretting, and Woolverston in Chigwell, Essex, all held by her father in grand serjeantry by the service of her father acting as the Queen's Chamberlain at her coronation.2 She was a minor at her father's death and her wardship was sold to Fulk Basset, Bishop of London in April 1249.3 She was still a minor when her wardship was again sold, this time to Hugh de Vere, Earl of Oxford, who married Alice to his son and heir Robert in June 1249.3 She married Robert (de Vere), 5th Earl of Oxford, Hereditary Master Chamberlain of England, son of Hugh (de Vere), 4th Earl of Oxford and Hawise de Quincy.1 Alice de Sanford died before 1293. She died in 1317.4
