Balance to Grandchildren, viz: to children of son Joseph deceased, and Priscilla, daughter of John Corbit, and Hannah Brown daughter of John Darling and Mercy Thompson wife of David together with Mary Holbrook wife of Joseph and her sister Ann Cook my granddaughters. Son in law John Darling 1 shilling and no more because of legacy I gave to his daughter Hannah Brown. Son in law Nicholas Cook 1 shilling. Son in law Isaac Thayer one shilling because of legacy I gave to his children. Son in law Jonathan Heyward 1 shilling because I gave £10 to his children he had by his first wife. Grandson John Corbit sole executor.”.² Rebecca (?) received one third of her late husband, John Rockwood's, estate on 8 June 1724.³
