His memorable shooting of a wonderful onager, gor, a wild ass, is said to have given origin to his nickname Gor "Onager" (Hunter).2 He was the successor of Yazdgard I, Shah of Iran; Shah of Iran.6,5 Bahram V Gor, Shah of Iran was a witness where King of al-Hirah al-Nu'man I ibn 'Amr al-Hirahi entrusted with the education of the son of Yezdegird, king of Persia, called Bahram Gour, and built for his use on a salubrious site the famous palace of Khawarnac before 410.7 Bahram V Gor, Shah of Iran was educated at the court of al-Nu'man I of al-Hirah, who "built for his use on a salubrious site the famous palace of Khawarnac," before 418.7 He was finished his education at the court of al- Mundhir, son of al-Nu'man I, the Lakhmid Arab king of al-Hira between 418 and 420 at Mesene, Iraq.1 He was a witness where King of al-Hirah al-Mundhir I ibn al-Nu'man al-Hirahi finished the education of the famous Bahram, and aided him in securing the Persian crown between 418 and 420.7 Bahram V Gor, Shah of Iran declared war on Rome in 420.6 Shah of Iran at southwestern Asia between 420 and 438.6,1,5,2 He began persecuting Christians which led to war with Rome circa 421. The essentials which interest us here are to be found in both, namely that it was believed both in Macedonia and by the Greeks in general that the royal house of Aegae was Greek and traced its descent from the Heracleid Temenids of Argos. In the main, independent of the poetic adornments about an expedition from the south, distribution or conquest of Macedonian territory, assault on Edessa and so on, in which as we shall show later some historical significance can be found, the difference lies in the fact that Caranus instead of Perdiccas, whom Herodotus records, emigrated from Argos and founded the Macedonian dynasty."3
