This site provides links to places with known migration to northeastern Oklahoma Co., southeastern Logan Co., and western Lincoln Co. during the period in which this area – now in the state of Oklahoma – was still part of Oklahoma Territory. |

Often, friends and relatives moved to a new land en masse, or cascaded in after early arrivals reported the opportunities afforded by the new lands. In this case, many of those who had homesteaded in the Unassigned Lands opened by the Run of '89 were joined by friends and relatives when the Iowa Lands were opened in '91 or the Kickapoo Lands in '95. |

Usually, I have no more than an individual's state of birth in the database, but have been able to identify at least one homesteader or early settler who can be traced back to each of the following counties and in many cases more than one family made the move. |

Most of the supplied links lead to the appropriate county GenWeb sites, but a few lead to my own area studies. For example, SW KY & NW TN studies the COLE families living in the Kentucky counties of Hickman and Fulton, and the Tennessee counties of Obion and Weakley from before 1830 until 1900. |
