Know all men by these presents that I[,] J. C. Lankford of said State and co[unty] do by these presents in consideration of the fact that Mrs. Maggie Johnson of said State and county will take good care of William E. Lankford my Son who is now about 4 years old[,] I do by these presents give my said Son William E Lankford to the said Mrs. Maggie Johnson to keep and to exersize [sic] control and to have the management of the said William E. Lankford until he comes 21 years of age and I hereby agree that she shall keep the said William E. Lankford and I am not to have any further control of said William E. Lankford but that the said Mrs. Maggie Johnson shall have the Exclusive Management and control of the said William E. Lankford until he is 21 years old.
