John Jennings to James Lankford, Washington County, Alabama, May 13,1833. Received of James Lankford five hundred dollars in full for my negro boy Major which slave I warrant the Title against myself and every other person to be sound and healthy and also warrant the title against myself and every other person said negro about ten years old.

Personally came before me William Grimes Clerk of the County Court of said county Joseph Black, one of the subscribing witnesses to the above Bill of Sale who being duly sworn upon by oath did say that he saw John Jennings sign seal and deliver the same unto James Lankford on this day and dates thereof and for the purposes therein mentioned.
