Relating to Benjamin Hoar/Hall

The first mention I ran across of Benjamin, was in a 1974 interview of my grandmother Marcia by my uncle Bradford. She only mentioned that her grandmother's father was Benjamin Hall who was born in 1804. I was not able to easily identify Benjamin in any obvious records, and it was a few years before I got around to paying any real attention to him. By that time, I'd found the marriage record of his daughter Anne, and knew that his wife's name was Martha and that Anne was born in Providence, RI. But still no Benjamin Hall appeared in the records. Well, not to draw out the drama too much, I found Benjamin's death certificate in Chelsea, Mass. and it provided the names of his parents as well as a place and date of birth. This was enough information so that when I found Benjamin born 20 June 1804 at Warren, RI to William and Molly Hoar, I knew it was the same person and I had an explanation for why Benjamin Hall appeared from nowhere. I still have lots of work to do in this area, but perhaps someone will find the following either interesting or helpful.
