Recommended Reading in DNA & Genealogy

Fitzpatrick, Colleen and Yeiser, Andrew. DNA & Genealogy. (Fountain Valley, CA: Rice Book Press). 2005.

This is probably the best of the bunch for anyone who doesn't remember what they learned about DNA in high school or college biology. The authors started with a definition and explanation of DNA and then moved on to the type of DNA used by genetic genealogiests. They have also included information on deep ancestry testing along with any number of charts and diagrams to make it not only interesting for the layman but clearer for all of us.
