This is short question
with a long story. My name is Geertje.
My other names are
Geertruida Maureen. My maiden name is
Strüwer. That's
my father's name. My mother's name is Georgine
Boyd. She's
a daughter of Edwin Boyd who came from Indonesia.
My mother told us
children often about her English family in her
youth. In Jan
of 1999 my father died and two months later my
mother passed away.
Now I feel the need to search for the
history of the Boyd's
and their link to Indonesia.
A sister and a brother
of my mother are still alive. Aunt Mary
lives in Indonesia
in Semarang and uncle Victor lives in California
in the USA.
Is there at least someone
who has the knowledge of a overseas
history? For instance
when did the Boyd's arrive in Indonesia?
And to whom did they
marry?
I'll be very pleased,
if there' s anyone who can tell me this? And
so are other relatives
too in the Netherlands.
