 Upon the recommendation of their Company Commander the following named non- Commissioned and Privates of Company “I”, 3rd Arkansas Volunteer Cavalry are promoted to fill the following vacancies of said company, viz.
 

Sergeant John H. McElroy  to be Commissary Sergeant

      Corporal James H. Ellis   to be Sergeant

      Private David Boyd    to be Corporal
