This is our reading list for 12th grade
(2010-2011). The key to Year 12 is to choose books that are
of interest to your student. Ancient History can be dull and
dry reading for some students. Carefully examine all books
(for inappropriateness -- there is much unpleasantness and sin in
this period), and then choose ones that provide interest.
The goal is to gently expose the period to the student, rather
than attempt fill a bucket with knowledge. The amount of
knowledge contained in ancient literature is astonishing -- no
student should be expected to read it all. Pick and choose
and let the rest go for a later day and time.
