DIVISION I: NEW ENGLAND

Progenitor Cornelius Cursonwhit was living in New Hampshire early as 1685. He may have migrated there from Boston, MA. His son, Samuel lived in Dover, NH in 1710. Samuel is the only son identified to date. Two possible daughters are Abigail and Hannah. Abigail Coursin or Coursonwhit was recorded as being taken captive by Abenaki Indians before 1695. It is from Division I that a line became COLSON.
