Need death dates/obit for Lettie (MINK) BABCOCK and her husband Carl BABCOCK. Does anyone have this couple in their family tree? I think buried in Greenfield Twp., Huron Co., OH. Lettie C. MINK born about 1889 in Huron co., OH. Married Carl BABCOCK. Her grandmother was Sabina/Bina (HILLIS) HOLMES and I am trying to find out the name of Sabina HILLIS' parents.

I am searching WELLS or WELLES of Huron, Erie & Lorain Counties, Ohio. My main focus is James Wells b 13 Mar 1792 in Connecticut, however, I am looking for parents and/or siblings, thus the reason I am searching all the WELLS in those counties to determine if there is a connection. I would appreciate a lookup for the PONDs listed on pages 430 and 413 in the Huron County Cemetery index. Checking the on line index, I noted that p. 430 has "A.B.," "Sallie MaKey," and "Carrie Frome." P. 413 has "Florenc W." and "A.A." and others.

I have recently discovered my PALMER family in Ridgefield. Huron, Ohio and would like to know if SKS would help me find out any further information regarding them. From information on census, I believe the family came to America in 1875. They are from the 1880 census- John PALMER 32 born England parents born England farmer; Margaret PALMER 42 born England parents born England wife keeps house; James PALMER 16 born England ; John PALMER 14 born England; Sarah PALMER 12 born England; Wm PALMER 8 born England; Margaret PALMER 6 born Ohio; Henry PALMER 4 born Ohio; Edith PALMER 3 mths born Ohio. On the 1900 census, the family is still at Ridgefield Township, Monroeville, Huron. Only 2 children appear and also, I believe, Asra E. son, born Sept 1884, age 15, at school. It also states 8 children born and 8 living. On a site, a lady kindly sent me it listed the death of Margaret in 1918, although I could see no obit for her, and John PALMER who died in 1922. Both buried at Riverside. Also came across the death of Edith P SEEL, in 1938, husband Otto, but information does tie in. Furthermore also saw Thomas H PALMER died in 1920, believe him to he Henry as again information does tie in. He is listed as being married but no wife is mentioned on his death cert. Would love to find out more on this family, however small, my own father was called after them as he was christened Thomas PALMER WARING.

Shirley Hunt Look Up Results - In my genealogy, I have a John PALMER who married a Mary CRESSEY. They had a daughter Jane PALMER (Born May 26, 1753) who married John GOULD (Born March 5, 1745/46) of Topsfield, Massachusetts. These GOULDs were descended from Zaccheus GOULD who was born in Hemel Hempstead and Great Missenden England. The GOULDs came to the Salem area of Massachusetts and actually founded the town of Topsfield. I live in Mansfield, Ohio where the Ohio Genealogy Library is and when I am feeling up to it, I will try to find information for you. I also have family who lived in the Monroeville area of Huron County. The surname for them is BOIES or BOISE as it was changed in the 1850's, The BOIE family also was from England.

Jessie Deith Look Up Results - The 1910 census has John and Margaret PALMER still living in Ridgefield, Huron County, Ohio. It looks like Manson street but the writing is poor. John is listed 60, Margaret 70. Under married, single or divorced, there is an "M" but curiously there is a small one tacked on his and a small two on hers. It also says they have been married 35 years. She has given birth to 9 children but only six are still alive. They were naturalized in 1872, and he is a Stone Mason. Also they own a house. The 1920 census has him still living in Ridgefield, Huron County, Ohio.(Main Street). He is now 70 and a widower. He is now living with his son-in-law, Elmer SCANTON and daughter Margaret. It again says he arrived in 1862, but has him naturalized in 1870. He is no longer working.
