Our Southern AKINS

Our Southern
AKINS

Lineages of  James AKIN, Sr.
who arrived in Henrico Co., VA before 1640 and died there in 1714.

We have moved to:

www.ancestraldesigns.com/akins

In light of the accompanying notice, all of our former website has been removed from it's old home at RootsWeb.  I hope to have all of our pages re-designed soon and uploaded to our new location.

Thank you for your patience.

NOTICE:  The Clan Akins Society headed by Steven and Julie Akins is now defunct.  Steven Akins was unseated as the head of the clan by the Lord Lyon King of Arms, Sir Thomas Innes of Learney, Scotland for submitting fraudulent information on his application to be head of the clan.   No one should continue to use the tartans, badge or crest created by Steven Akins.

Steven and Julie Akins' unsubstantiated ancestors were a different line of AKINS from our James AKIN, Sr. that we research.

Anyone that is using research information provided by Steven & Julie Akins or that was found in any of the Clan Akins Society Newsletters should not assume that anything is correct or accurate.

I will not go into their private lives; but suffice it to say, we will probably not ever hear from either one of them again.  If someone does, I strongly encourage everyone not to respond.

THANK YOU.... Carol Ann "C.A.T." Tindell, Your Hostesss
